I have a 62 mondeo diesel estate with 135k, great car and goes like a dream normally. Couple of weeks ago i had the information (i)light up on the dash. Car was still running good but a couple of days later the orange engine light came on. Phoned the garage and booked it in last Thursday, drove home and the car kept going in and out of limp mode.
Ford Mondeo 2009 2.0l diesel titanium Hi, first of all thanks for taking the time to read this. Never had any problems with my car but on 2 occasions recently I've gone to start the car and the engine doesn't turn over, I just hear one faint click and that's it. The battery reads around 13.5v and
2008 Ford Mondeo, Diesel - starting problems. The fob will start the car, I just cant use the buttons to open or close the doors. It was warning of a low battery, but I've since replaced the battery. This is on a 57 plate Mondeo Titanium X. The normal key reprogramming trick of turning the key in the ignition so many times in 6 seconds wont work, as there's no ignition.

Mondeo mk4 cutout, now won't start 2.0tdci. Over took a car and mine cut out with the 'engine malfunction' message appearing. Got recovered, put my code reader on, but no codes to display. As the fuel filter hadn't been changed for at least 40,000 miles I changed it and bled the fuel system with a vacuum pump. Still no start, fuel rail pressure
If you have the 12v at that wire the solenoid is the most likely fault. If you don't have 12v at the small wire, you need to get a wiring diagram for the truck. You then have to follow the circuit back to find out where you do have 12v and where it stops. It could be a relay, the ignition switch or any wire in between.

I stuck the battery back in and she fired up and ran for maybe a minute and then died. I then did a little research here and found that the 90 bhp mk3 doesn't
Car won't start. I have a 2015 2L, 180PS Diesel Mondeo with stop/start but it won't start. When I press the start button everything comes on except the starter motor. There is a click but the engine doesn't turn over and the battery voltage stays above 12V. I've got a cheap bluetooth OBD II reader and it says there are no errors.
Hi there, As the title suggests, I'm having trouble starting my MK4 after driving it for a while and it gets warm/hot. The car starts perfectly when cold, or after it has been left to cool off, but it will either take a long time to start (5-6 seconds) when hot, or, if it's hot enough, it won't start at all, although it always does crank.
